Jon Dodd – CEO at Bunnyfoot – is set to deliver a talk on the importance of emotion in creating engaging and persuasive designs that deliver superior user experiences during the Behavioural Design day at this year’s Digital Shoreditch Festival.

    About Digital Shoreditch

With a line up of expert speakers from some of the digital industry’s big-hitters, the schedule of events at Digital Shoreditch – curated to celebrate the outstanding creative, technical and entrepreneurial talent of East London and Tech city – explores a full range of topics relating to design, marketing, strategic analysis and digital communications.

Taking place between May 20 and 31, 2013, Digital Shoreditch will deliver over 400 sessions, workshops and networking events to an audience of delegates from some of the most innovative companies operating at the leading edge of the digital landscape. It is of interest to anyone working in PR and communications as it brings together many related fields including marketing, strategic analysis, digital communications among many others.

The theme for Friday May 24 is Behavioural Design, a subject very close to our hearts here at Bunnyfoot. Exploring peoples’ decision making processes from a scientific view point, the day’s events aim to enable the audience to better understand this crucial journey and provide tips on how to influence this process both on and offline.

Jon Dodd will be talking about the importance of emotion in creating engaging and persuasive designs that deliver superior user experiences. With a focus on considering emotional responses in customers during design phase, his presentation will cover a brief introduction to user centred design including the theories and methods of producing emotive designs, how this sits within a wider framework of persuasion centred design, and the potential ways of observing and measuring emotional engagement to optimise the success of digital campaigns.
