Persuasive design

What is persuasive design?

When designing for persuasion, emotion and trust, Bunnyfoot apply the disciplines of behavioural economics, sociology and psychology to construct experiences (purchase paths, landing pages, emails etc.) that are more likely to result in generating desirable user interactions.

Persuasion, emotion and trust design techniques include:

  • Understanding user’s motivations, fears and ambitions.
  • Applying specific defaults and pre-selections.
  • Using sophisticated feedback, rewards, urgency and gamification.
  • Applying social proof storytelling.

Applied strategically, users are more likely to act in ways that align with the ambitions of a product or service. Critically, we ensure that these powerful techniques are applied ethically so users are encouraged to act in a way that aligns with their goals and intentions.

When to use persuasive design?

When you want to deliver an experience beyond good usability and accessibility. We can audit and/or apply persuasive design principles to existing or proposed assets.
