About Cathy

Cathy loves to solve real people’s problems through design thinking, using evidence and empathy, in order to make their lives better. As a senior consultant at Bunnyfoot, Cathy helps organisations understand their customers so they can deliver better experiences for them. She achieves this by speaking with users, observing their behaviour, trying to understand how and why they do (or don’t do) what it is they want to do; be that work, shop, communicate, date, bank or just enjoy their spare time!

With extensive knowledge of user-centred design and behavioural research, Cathy has managed and conducted studies nationally, internationally and remotely. She undertakes a wide range of consultancy work including; usability testing, accessibility testing, depth interviews, mental models, persona creation, ethnography and heuristic analysis.

Cathy’s experience spans both the public and private sector working with a large number of household brands for example; HSBC, BBC, Accor Hotels, Sky, Vodafone, Oxfam, Tesco, Willis Towers Watson, CBeebies and Johnson & Johnson.

Cathy has also written, and for the past 6 years has taught the ‘User Testing’ course at Bunnyfoot and delivers bespoke training to clients. She has also recently become a trainer for the Certified Professional for Usability & User Experience – User Testing and Evaluation (CPUX-UT) course.

She is accredited as a Certified Professional for Usability & User Experience (CPUX-F) and has an Advanced Certification in Usability and User Experience – Usability Testing and Evaluation (CPUX-UT). She is also a member of the User Experience Professionals’ Association (UXPA).

Cathy has a background in design and holds a first-class degree in Industrial Design and Technology from Loughborough University.

Outside of work, Cathy enjoys being active whether that’s in the gym or outside enjoying the wonders of the Peak District!
