The above is a rather unsubtle (‘social norms’, ‘scarcity’ etc.) example of some common behavioural ‘persuasive’, ‘nudge’ triggers that are effective because they speak to your non-conscious mind, rather than the rational conscious being that you suspect yourself to be.
