Download our guide on how to brief a UX agency

So you’re about to embark on a user centred design project, you want to engage an agency to support you, but you’re not sure where to begin. This handy guide will help you to prepare a brief/RFP/ITT (aka Request For Proposal or Invitation To Tender) that clearly articulates your needs and enables agencies (i.e. Bunnyfoot) to suggest the approach they would take with your project.

Benefits of sending out the brief:

  • An accurate brief translates to receiving accurate and relevant proposals
  • Sending the same information to the agencies leads to a better feel for the differences in their approach to your requirements.
  • The stronger agencies will suggest ways they can work with you to answer questions and clarify uncertainties.
  • Always ensure that all the relevant stakeholders have seen your completed brief/RFP/ITT before you send it out, to avoids any confusion and crossed wires later.

It may sound obvious, but if the product owner, for example, has not been given a chance to review and feedback on the brief/RFP/ITT, one of the elements that they see as being key could have been left out.
